I know you can’t wait for Valentine’s Day and are ready to spoil the one you love (including yourself) with roses, cards, and chocolate…
Or maybe you roll your eyes and think of another “Hallmark card day.” Soon it’s Valentine unless you crawl under a blanket and pretend it’s not happening.
As for me, I have some fond and funny memories of Valentine’s past.
I remember…
… the days when my kids made their special Valentine’s cards for me (I still dig them out sometimes to remember how our life was when they were little).
… when my husband made his first Valentine’s dinner for us. He made peppercorn steak and vegetables (I don’t like peppercorn at all), but I still remember his pride in his efforts to do something special for me.
The hard part is when we get so busy and overwhelmed in our daily lives that the person we love seems to take a backseat. Maybe Valentine’s helps remind you of the importance of another person or yourself.
