Breaking Free: My Path from 9 – 5 Drudgery To Fitness Warrior
I was a 9-to-5 office worker, chasing stability and following the rules. But I craved more freedom and adventure in my life. After four years of preparation, I changed and moved to Washington, D.C.
In D.C., I found new opportunities and chose projects that excited me. I started working with like-minded people and embraced my newfound freedom. I’m living on my terms, exploring new places, and following my dreams. Stepping off the beaten path has genuinely led me to happiness.
Motherhood!
Leaving my job to become a stay-at-home mom was a life-altering decision. Suddenly, I found myself without financial freedom and feeling trapped at home. I struggled to envision a way to balance raising my kids and earning an income.
In 1992, a friend persuaded me to join her for a fitness class. I had never imagined myself pursuing a fitness career, but to my surprise, I absolutely fell in love with it.
Fast-forward to 2010, when I created Pilates with Resist-A-Ball, a groundbreaking take on traditional Pilates. This innovative approach is enjoyable and incredibly gentle on the joints, making it an integral part of all my programs. Embracing fitness as a profession has transformed my life, allowing me to fulfill my roles as a mother and a successful entrepreneur.
There was no stopping me now!
The transformative power of regular exercise became apparent when I shed the 50 lbs I gained during my first pregnancy. Not only did I experience the benefits firsthand, but I also found myself helping other women achieve their fitness goals. This ignited my passion to learn more and empower others to lead their healthiest lives.
Eager to expand my expertise, I pursued numerous certifications to enhance my skills as a trainer and coach. The knowledge I acquired allowed me to create tailored training programs for my clients and fueled my fitness journey.
From bodybuilding and ultra-marathons to recovering from an injury and completing an Ironman Triathlon, I’ve tackled a wide range of physical challenges. Now, I’m leveraging my experience to successfully navigate the effects of aging.
In 2012, I opened my boutique Pilates studio, and my passion continued to grow. In 2017, I founded Pursue Your Spark, offering signature online courses for women only, such as the Pursue Your Spark Blueprint, among others.
My mission is simple: I help busy women and men in midlife navigate the unique challenges of this stage by building strength, balance, and flexibility through a blend of Pilates, strength training, and simple nutrition strategies—so you can feel and look your best for years to come.

A Little About Me
I love the outdoors, and that’s where you will find me most of the time.
Spending time with my two kids makes my heart sing (even if they live on opposite sides of the world).
Becoming a first-time grandma is incredible, and I thought I was all cool about it.
I have been known to say, “Exercise is good for you.” (Okay…I say it a lot).
Food is important to me, but I prefer it when my husband cooks for me.
My positivity and energy are contagious.
