As a coach, you get to know your clients and the other way around. I am learning what my clients like to do rather than training with me. I know, that they enjoy a healthy fitness lifestyle and want to continue to stay strong and fit for the future. Everyone has a different lifestyle and ideas on how to spend their spare time. Many of my clients love to travel, eat amazing foods, go to the Theater or Opera, and enjoy fine arts.
Thank you, to you (my clients) for sharing your adventures with me, because of them I am able to enjoy many wonderful adventures myself.
One of my undertakings took me to Cafe Berlin in Washington, DC, for a German feast.
One of my clients said: “WHAT!? You tell us all the time how healthy you eat and drink, AND then go out eating German food and drink beer?”
YEP, I confess! I live a pretty normal lifestyle. So, what do I do or NOT, for that matter:
- I don’t train all the time
- I am not on a diet (because diets don’t work
- I eat for pleasure. That includes my training nutrition (I am not eating or drinking something that tastes awful
- I enjoy drinking good wine
- YES. I do eat desserts!
I believe, that you can eat and drink anything that you choose to.
I believe you put into your body what you want to get out of it.
I believe that FAD diets suck and cleanse are a waste of energy.
I believe balanced nutrition combined with exercise will keep your mind and body healthy and fit.
I believe that we all have a choice to shape our future, and that includes nutrition and exercise.
I have one life to live, and I plan on living it fully and with pleasure.
What do I do, when I choose meals not in alignment with my nutrition and exercise goals?
I embrace it!
The next day, I eat my normal meals and exercise a bit more.
What Does Your Trainer Eat When You’re Not Looking?
I know, you just can’t wait to find out what she ate at Cafe Berlin. Here is my collage of what Heike eats and drinks when no one is looking 😉
